Syed Hussain Shah has become a living legend in the history of Pakistan Boxing. He is widely considered to be one of the best boxers of Asia. It has been a treat for the boxing audiences to see him in action.
He had made his international debut at the first South Asian Games held in Nepal in 1984 and won a gold Medal for his country. He again won Gold Medals in the 2nd and 3rd SAF Games held in Dhaka in 1985 and Calcutta in 1987 respectively .
In 1996, he participated in the President's Cup Boxing tournament held in Jakarta and won a Gold m edal. He has to his credit the prestigious Asian Gold medal which was won by him in the 13th Asian Boxing Championships held at Kuwait, in 1987.
